A six-year-old girl and her parents were hit by gunfire Tuesday night after a basketball rolled down a residential alley and into a man’s yard in North Carolina, neighbors said. WSOC TV,
Eyewitnesses told the station that the gunman kept firing until he ran out of bullets.
The Gaston County Police Department said Wednesday they are still searching for the alleged gunman, who has been identified as Robert Louis Singletary, a 24-year-old man described as “armed and dangerous.”

Singletary faces multiple charges, including four counts of attempted murder, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, and one count of possession of a firearm by a felony.

Zill said police have partnered with the US Marshals Regional Fugitive Task Force to find Singletary.
“We don’t even know the guy,” Kinsley told WSOC, visible on camera with stitches in his cheek. “Why did you shoot my daddy and me? Why did you shoot the father of a child?”
